The Opening Doors Project is a community-led charity dedicated to reducing isolation, building connections, and creating opportunities for people of all ages to come together in a welcoming and inclusive environment. We believe in the power of community and the importance of having spaces where people feel seen, supported, and valued. Throughout the year, we host a variety of fun, inclusive, and accessible community events that are open to all, including:
- 🎉 Community Bingo Nights – relaxed, social evenings with prizes and laughs
- 🛍️ Seasonal Fayres – showcasing local makers, crafts, and community stalls
- 🕺 Social Evenings & Parties – from themed nights to celebrations for all ages
- 🚌 Day Trips – affordable outings to local attractions and beauty spots
- ♻️ Litter Picks with Lunch – giving back to our local area with a free lunch as a thank you
- 🧠 Community Information Days – linking people with local services, support, and advice
- 🎄 Christmas Events including:
- Our magical Christmas Float touring local neighbourhoods
- Winter Wonderland experiences for families
- Breakfast with Santa – festive fun for little ones
- Community Christmas Lunch – open to anyone who may be alone or in need during the holidays
