A daytrip to York couldn’t have gone better said one of the participants who gave organisers 10/10.
The fully booked excursion was organised by Opening Doors Project and paid for by National Lottery Local Connections Fund.
Those who went along enjoyed a game of bingo on the coach journey, while being treated to an array of sandwiches and cakes.
Graham Deakin joined the community-building event with wife May and son George. They visited the National Railway Museum before having a walk around the city.
“It was absolutely fantastic,” he said, “Everything went like clockwork, it was very well organised. If I was marking it out of 10, I would give it a 10.”
